Isaac's FHE

Tonight we ate dinner a little late, so we had FHE at the dinner table. I asked Isaac if he had a favorite scripture story, and when he said yes, I said, "Great! Daddy will be telling us his favorite story tonight for FHE." We sang Book of Mormon stories, bc McKenna has been reading and wanted to sing it. Then Isaac told us the story of the 2,000 stripling warriors. It was fun to listen to the kids tell us what they knew of the story, especially Ashley! So impressed. It was fun over dinner. Then the kids wanted to sing Daddy's homecoming... (I'm so glad when Daddy comes home!) and they climbed on his lap, patted his cheeks, and gave him lots of kisses!) It was super cute!
Other than that, the kids were at Grandma's today. They said they had a blast! Ashley learned about not looking at other people's papers at school today.. good lesson huh! and McKenna learned about math. Dani didn't have school, so her and Thomas were lucky to spend the WHOLE day with Tanna. Tanna and Beverly watch our kids one day a week. They are LIFESAVERS! This shift Isaac is on ends in two weeks and then we won't need any sitters, so that will be nice, but for now, they are wonderful!

The "Tradition" Stands!!!

CONGRATULATIONS to my brother Scott and his wife Sherrie on finding out they are having another boy!!! This will be the 15th Dedelow grandchild!
Let me just tell you why this is SO COOL! The Dedelow's have a really cool 'tradition' that has been going on since 1999. All of the grandson's have been born in odd years and all of the granddaughters have been born in even years. Each time there is a new baby, we wonder, WHO will be the one to break our "tradition", or "streak." We thought possibly it would be the 13th grandchild. It's all by chance, but it is SO cool. We love joking around about it every time! Even when Isaac and I talked about having another baby, we always said, well, if we want a boy, we better get pregnant to have the baby in an odd year. We KNEW Thomas would be a boy for that reason! And we knew Bev's 4th baby was going to be a boy for that reason also. We figured as much for Todd and Brenda's 2nd baby and it just kept on going and going. I'm all giddy, but I just think it is so funny and so exciting!

Pre-K Graduation

My little pre-k graduate, can you believe it!! Ashley loves school and is so excited to be going to Kindergarten, as McKenna is to go to 1st grade and Danielle to preschool!! I can't believe how big they are getting! She did great! They sang cute little songs and were so happy!

Getting ready to perform! Isn't she beautiful!

"Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun, please come out and play! These poor children as asking you, to please come out so we can play with you! Oh, Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun, please come out and play!!" I love that song. I love these photos. I have the same ones with McKenna.

Ashley said she wanted to be a doctor when she grows up. She really does talk about that all the time. She wants to be the ones who give the shots to little kids! :P Cute huh. Then about 4 kids after her said they wanted to be doctors too... she was first!

Thank you for a wonderful year Ms. Melissa!! You are great and we love Sunshine Circle!

One of Ashley's good friends, Holland. Holland's sister is McKenna's best friend. Holland and Ashley have yet to be in the same class, but they love play dates! Maybe next year for Kindergarten they will finally be together! :)

Papa came to watch Ashley perform!

Uncle Travis, Aunt Bev, and the boys were there too, but I was unable to get a picture of them together. :(
My kids have such great support!!

Our beautiful growing family!
CONGRATULATIONS ASHLEY!

Our busy bees!

We had an amazing busy Saturday!!

FIRST- McKenna and Ashley's last SOCCER GAME!!

They are such superstars! Both such athletes!

I love this picture of my girls! BEST TEAMMATES!

GOOOO TEAM!!

Next- DANCE RECITALS!!

Ashley was a rainbow fish and was the leader..and the tallest, of her recital. It was so cute! She knew every move!

McKenna was a lion fish. Her class was small- 4 girls. BUT, one girl didn't want to go on stage. There was a section where they broke off 2 and 2, but the other girl didn't have a partner now, so McKenna improvised, ran over and grabbed the other girls hand so they were a group of 3! It was the sweetest thing ever!

McKenna, Avery, Ashley, and Holland. SO cute! Avery and Holland were little tappers.

Our beautiful ballerina!

Our beautiful dancer!

Beautiful performing girls!!

Thanks for coming Aunt Bev!!

So fun for our family!!

Last but not least!! Kiley's birthday party. It was last minute, but we wouldn't have missed it.

So fun!

Thomas wanted to be outside with the boys!!

Dani and baby Emma

THE END! We wore them out don't you think!

Devastated

Ashley loved, LOVED her golden sable puppy. She was sweet and fluffy and so cuddly! Well, Isaac took her away on Saturday while the girls and I went early to their dance recital. He took them to a family who's parents live in Tooele, but they were from Alaska. Ashley didn't know. She had grown SO attached to that sweetie. She called her Likey... because the puppy liked her, cute huh! Well, when Ashley came out of the house on Saturday to find her Likey... she was just DEVASTATED to find that she wasn't there. She balled, it was the sweetest, cutest, saddest thing ever! We had one more golden sable that she tried to love , but she wasn't the same. She wasn't as cuddly as Ashley's Likey.

This is Ashley crying under the tramp trying to get some love for our other golden sable. She is just not quite sure what to do with out her girl! :(

Luckily, Isaac forgot to take the papers on Saturday, so we had to end up taking them on Sunday on our way up to Ryan and Brianne's home for dinner. Ashley was SO happy to be able to say bye to her girl. She was such a sweetie and we couldn't have asked for better owners for her! I am glad she got to say good bye. :)
TOGETHER AT LAST!!!

CUTE HUH!?! :)

GOOD BYE LIKEY!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was great this year. Isaac and the kids let me sleep in. They made me breakfast in bed... they try and do that every year. I love it! (they bring it to me in bed and then say.. now come on, let's go eat in the kitchen. hehe. But I don't mind, I would rather eat breakfast with my sweet children, than by myself anyway) Isaac got me the People magazine on the Royal Wedding. I don't care much for magazines, but I have to admit, I am obsessed with the Royal Wedding and everything about it. Bev got me addicted. I just have loved it! So fun and so exciting! Isaac got me beautiful roses. I just love him. I did end up having to make the brownies and fruit salad to take over to Tanna's later, but that's ok. We went to church. It's always great. Afterwards they passed out pretty little flowers to all the women. I like that.
We went to Tanna's for dinner. Everyone was there. We had a nice time hanging out and the kids had so much fun. It was really cold outside so we ended up staying inside most of the time. Secretly I was glad, because normally on Mother's Day all the Mother's end up taking all the children for a long walk and to the park. As much as I love doing that with my wonderful children, I hate that little tradition. The boys just sit home and relax and we're chasing around kids for a hour on Mother's Day. ...I semi dislike it. ;)

A wig from Papa's mom, Grandma Rose. :)

Tanna is a wonderful Mother-in-law. I know she would do anything for us, and Isaac just adores his mom. It's nice to have her around.

I wanted to share some things about my mom, especially since she is so far away and I don't get to share this special day with her. :( As all children do, I LOVE MY MOM. She is one of my best friends. I can talk to her about anything and always have been able too. She is selfless. She is strong. She is wonderful! I know too that my momma would do anything for us also. She loves her grandchildren. I know she aches being so far away from them and honestly, I do too. I wish she could be there for their soccer and ballet recitals. I wish she could be there for their lost teeth and stitches, bike rides and parks, and snow days and sunny days. I know she would stop by and help me fold my laundry, sweep my floors, or cook my dinner without me asking her. She wouldn't say a word about how messy my home was. She knew I hated it, but she also knew we were busy. She was just there to help. I loved that! It is so helpful! I miss her. I don't know how she does it with her children being so spread out across the country. Having my own children, I know that that would just crush me. I tell them they have to live close to me when they get older. I hope they do. I'm know she misses us terribly. I miss her too. Love you Mommy!

Mother's Day Eve

All I wanted for Mother's Day this year was to go hike up Bridal Veil Falls and a picnic. So, on Saturday, we had soccer games in the morning. ...the girls have SO much fun and are so awesome to watch! Ashley scored 3 goals this morning, and McKenna scored a goal on Tuesday night. :) So fun!

After the games we packed up our cooler, made a quick trip to Day's and we were off! (At Day's, they were giving away free Mother's Day flowers, so the girls each made one for me before we left) The hike up Bridal Veil Falls was so beautiful and so much fun!

Isaac the kids and I were the only ones to hike up the right side of the falls. I guess we could have gone up further on the left, but it was fun climbing the rocks.

We went back down, the kids took off their shoes and played in the water. It was perfect! We walked back down and had a picnic for lunch. It was so beautiful and exactly what I wanted!

Throwing out sticks in and running to the other side to watch them go down the stream. We love doing this!

The water was so high and running so fast! Just the though.... scared me to death. But it was really pretty to look at.

After we got home, we cleaned up and worked some more in the yard. We got our garden ready and I cannot wait to finally plant our seeds. We are fried! :)

Such a wonderful day!
