Mother's Day was great this year. Isaac and the kids let me sleep in. They made me breakfast in bed... they try and do that every year. I love it! (they bring it to me in bed and then say.. now come on, let's go eat in the kitchen. hehe. But I don't mind, I would rather eat breakfast with my sweet children, than by myself anyway) Isaac got me the People magazine on the Royal Wedding. I don't care much for magazines, but I have to admit, I am obsessed with the Royal Wedding and everything about it. Bev got me addicted. I just have loved it! So fun and so exciting! Isaac got me beautiful roses. I just love him. I did end up having to make the brownies and fruit salad to take over to Tanna's later, but that's ok. We went to church. It's always great. Afterwards they passed out pretty little flowers to all the women. I like that.
We went to Tanna's for dinner. Everyone was there. We had a nice time hanging out and the kids had so much fun. It was really cold outside so we ended up staying inside most of the time. Secretly I was glad, because normally on Mother's Day all the Mother's end up taking all the children for a long walk and to the park. As much as I love doing that with my wonderful children, I hate that little tradition. The boys just sit home and relax and we're chasing around kids for a hour on Mother's Day. ...I semi dislike it. ;)

A wig from Papa's mom, Grandma Rose. :)

Tanna is a wonderful Mother-in-law. I know she would do anything for us, and Isaac just adores his mom. It's nice to have her around.
I wanted to share some things about my mom, especially since she is so far away and I don't get to share this special day with her. :( As all children do, I LOVE MY MOM. She is one of my best friends. I can talk to her about anything and always have been able too. She is selfless. She is strong. She is wonderful! I know too that my momma would do anything for us also. She loves her grandchildren. I know she aches being so far away from them and honestly, I do too. I wish she could be there for their soccer and ballet recitals. I wish she could be there for their lost teeth and stitches, bike rides and parks, and snow days and sunny days. I know she would stop by and help me fold my laundry, sweep my floors, or cook my dinner without me asking her. She wouldn't say a word about how messy my home was. She knew I hated it, but she also knew we were busy. She was just there to help. I loved that! It is so helpful! I miss her. I don't know how she does it with her children being so spread out across the country. Having my own children, I know that that would just crush me. I tell them they have to live close to me when they get older. I hope they do. I'm know she misses us terribly. I miss her too. Love you Mommy!
