Hair "cut"

My first 'cut hair' experience. McKenna got silly putty in her hair that we had made the night before at Aunt Roni's... we had to cut it out. It sucked. I guess it could have been worse!

Conference weekend

I LOVE conference weekend. Although, what happens, when your husband works graves all weekend, and you are refrained from your bedroom, where you would have initially watched conference, to keep silence in the house for the husband to sleep... we forgot!!!!!!!!!!! OH, sniff, sniff. SO SAD. I really really do love conference. Saturday night, as soon as I remembered, I recorded it for Sunday. Yay! ;) Oh, and Isaac was unable to go to the Priesthood session, because he had to go to work, but he did go to Tarahumara's with Steve, Loni, Luke, Logan, and Casey. Even though he couldn't go, I was so glad he got to enjoy dinner with his dad and family!!

Saturday was a good and busy day though. We cleaned. Couldn't go anywhere bc we don't have a car from Friday's accident. Frustrating that no one (insurance) will work on it over the weekend. Luckily, we didn't need to go anywhere, so I was ok with it. BUT, it left one dilemna though, because of no car, we had to call Roni and tell her the kids and I weren't going to be able to make it for dinner on Sunday. :( But, luckily, Tanna and Roni had arranged for us to go, and we carpooled down. Yay!
Sunday was a great day though. I love watching conference, really!!! Their voices, seriously, just something about their voices, is so ...sacred in a way. I just love it! We put it on downstairs and I was surprised by how good the kids did. They were playing, but they would listen also. I made them all sit down and listen to our beloved Prophet Monson speak. The girls just love him, especially because his name is Thomas. :)
As soon as I found out we were going to Roni's after all, I needed to get the kids and myself ready. We started the second session late, so I didn't get to finish it, but I did however watch it when I got home. I love Elder Bednar, and Elder Dieter F Uchtdorf. Seriously, love him. I have always loved both of them the day they were both called into the Quorum of the ..."seventy?" maybe. But this conference, I realized whom else I loved. Richard G. Scott. I love him! I loved his talk. I listened to it twice. Just something about him makes me want to be a better person. Our families are sacred! Our families are forever, and it is left to us to make sure we will return as a forever family one day. I liked how Richard G. Scott said that our men should be the ones getting our families together for prayer, FHE, and scripture study. I would like that too. ;) I tried to get Isaac to watch it, but hopefully soon! And he is great, always, ALWAYS, tells me how much he loves me. The kids too! Anyway... I love conference.
Tanna and Steve came over and picked up Ashley and Danielle. McKenna and Thomas rode with me and we were off to Roni's. So fun! We had a great 'dinner' of lots of appetizers. It was yummy and then Roni did the cutest craft with the kids. They made silly putty!! Cute huh! They had a blast, except Ava. ;) She didn't like it one bit.

Mason, Ethan, and Thomas played outside as much as they could with Papa, Matt and Brett. It was cold, but fun with balls and a basketball hoop. I ended up outside with all the kids for awhile. It. was. cold... and a lot of kids, but lots of fun. :)

So glad we were able to make it. We missed Isaac, but it's always fun to get the kids together!!

Ashley's birthday

Ashley turned 5!! Can you believe it. We can't. It's hard to grasp. I mean, my first turned 6, and that was a big deal..but my second, FIVE! sad. :(
Anyway, we had a great birthday weekend!! Her birthday was on Monday, the 28th, and Isaac had the weekend before off, so we took advantage and celebrated!! KAMAS POOL!!! Yay, our kids love the Kamas pool and that is where Ashley wanted to go, so we were all for it! I had told Isaac's family on our March fast Sunday dinner that we would celebrate this weekend, but unfortunately no one could come. :( Luckily Aunt Bev and the boys were able to come and Uncle Ryan and Aunt Brianne also showed up a little bit late, but it was so great to have them!! Although Ashley kept on telling me over and over again how she had missed her girl cousins- Ava, Ella, Marissa, and Kiley, she had a blast just swimming swimming with all of her 'boy' cousins, (except Ethan) and her sisters. :) !! I took the McKenna and Ashley in the big lap pool and let them jump in and swim as far as they could back to the wall. McKenna could swim really well on her own, but as soon as she noticed I wasn't holding her, she would grab my neck and get SO scared! Silly girl. Ashley did so great! She wanted to do it over and over again which made me so proud! Although I had to help her a tid bit more than Mckenna, she really was doing awesome! I was so glad she was trying so hard. She has such determination!! She even went back in the big pool with Daddy to do it again. She was so proud to report that "Mom! I can swim!!" Yes she can. :) They both did great! Thomas and Danielle had a blast too. Danielle is such a little fish like her sisters and is always on the go! She thinks she's a little bigger than she is, bc we constantly had to pool her up out of the water, bc she would go too far thinking she could swim. But she is one brave little fishy and loves the water. Thomas at first....CRIED! hehe, he did not like the water. But as soon as I got him splashing and playing, he LOVED it the rest of the night. And we brought a blow up water ball, so he was having the time of his life. He and Dani were constantly going up and down the little kid slide. It was super cute.

After the pool we went to the local pizza shop/ice cream in town and got ice cream (and breadsticks) for all the munchkins. It was so yummy and the kids loved it! Ashley had a blast! :)

Crazy as this is, I know... I could only take one picture the whole night! It was just so busy and too much fun to leave the water. But I also took the picture of the crew at the ice cream shop. Fun fun!!
Saturday we went shopping!! We had some major grocery shopping to do and we had to get some presents for a special lady. It was a late day, so we took the kiddos to Golden Corral, and they enjoyed ice cream... again! :)
Sunday was great! We have dinner with Bev and Ryan every other Sunday. Being that we don't have any other family out here, I think it just keeps us close and feeling a little more at home. We love it! And Ryan loves it too.. every Friday or Saturday he is always checking in on Bev and I finding out where dinner is. Even when neither of us have even planned anything, we can normally put something together. And we all chip in on the food which is so great! Just writing this makes me so thankful for my family. I love them so much and love how close we are and how much we want to be together. ...anyway, excuse the cheesiness. So, we were planning this big dinner on Sunday. And of all Sunday's, we were planning on Isaac cooking the dinner. We had gotten ribs, which I had no idea how to do! I normally stick to crock pots. So... it was going to be a relaxed Sunday for me right!? Well.. no, Saturday night, Matt called Isaac and said that Christy and Brett (Isaac's sister) were moving from Ogden and Lehi and needed help. We had NO idea that they were even moving, and were so glad Matt called, bc they could not have and should have not had to do that by themselves. So... off Isaac was on Sunday morning to help his sister move and there I was left to clean home and cook the whole meal. And it wasn't an easy one either. Ribs, mashed potatoes, cake. Ahh... s t r e s s ! And to top it off, there was no recipe for these ribs, we had to search the internet...but was our internet working, NO! So, we went internet searching on our phone. Anyway, it ended up turning out great and Isaac got home around 4 just in time to go back to the store and get his Dr. Pepper. Nerd! Every one showed up and the meal was great and Ashley got to open a card and mula from Uncat Bryane and a present from Uncat Bevis. (like those combinations? :) ) She was super excited and then we had delicious cake and ice cream. Happy Birthday my little... big lady!

Monday- her actual birthday!!! Yes, birthday's do last so much longer when you are little. Neither of the girls had school on Monday and I wasn't feeling too well, so I stayed home from work. It actually worked out perfect bc Isaac was working on Monday night and they were going to have to open presents without me, BUT, we opened presents in the morning, all of us together! It was so perfect.

Ashley was so excited for her new barbies and Barbie movie. Oh, and on our kids birthdays we always line the hallway with balloons!! and they just love it and kick and hit them all day, it's really fun! I think it makes them feel special. We had a great lax day. Isaac spoiled them and at 11a when we turned on Ashley's new movie, Isaac surprised them with popcorn in the basement. :) I was a little against it, being as they hadn't even eaten lunch yet, but they were SO EXCITED and had a blast eating popcorn so early! They love getting spoiled from Daddy, and he does a pretty good job at it. :) I watched the boys a little later and we played at the park and had a great night. The next day Grandma watched the kiddos and Ashley got a new scooter!!! Just like her sisters birthdays. Yay! So exciting. ...and just something funny. McKenna got a barbie with her scooter, and Danielle got a baby doll with her scooter... so all week long Ashley had been talking about whether she would get a barbie or a baby doll from Grandma with her scooter. Well, we got to Grandma's and Ashley pulled out her scooter, which she loved! Then she looked back into the bag and said "where's my doll." Grandma said, "you got a scooter." and Ashley said, "McKenna got a barbie too for her birthday!" hehe, oops! Kids are so funny and remember everything! And Ashley is super blunt like that. ;) Grandma recovered quickly and gave Ashley the Tangled movie that Papa had 'forgotten' to put in the bag. That was so nice and sweet of her to do! Ashley was happy, and we have loved that movie!
I am so thankful for Ashley! Much like her siblings, she came unexpectedly as well. We were moving to FL as a family of three and much to our surprise, we would be blessed with another baby in March to become a family of four. We LOVE Ashley. She is special. She is sweet and kind and giving. She has a motherly instinct. She cares for everyone. She is our little chatter and always has something to say or a story to tell. :) She is determined and a hard worker. And she is honest, honest about everything. Whether she loves what you're wearing, or she's hungry, or you forgot something, she will let you know. We love her personality! She is fun, she is our Angel Ashley.

When is rains, it pours..

So, life has been crazy lately. Work has been crazy. Isaac works 84 hours a week and I too for the past few pay periods (2 weeks ea) have worked between 72-74 hours. We hardly see each other. Our home is constantly a wreck. I can't keep up. No wonder I haven't blogged in so long! Worked is crazy busy, it's tax season, we have 4 beautiful kids, and 12, TWELVE dogs! Well, you would think that nothing else could happen, right?! Well, it did. Today at work I called Isaac to see if he had dropped the kids off at Bev's yet, and he said "kind-of." Um, what does that mean.... It means he got in a car accident. The kids are perfectly fine. And from what Isaac says, he is ok too. Well, there are lots of yield signs and 'no' signs in the back roads in Heber. Someone didn't yield and her truck and Isaac hit in the Durango. Bev came and picked up the kids which I was SO grateful for! I asked her how all the kids were and what they thought and these were their reactions.

McKenna- ...ok background real quick. We got in a car accident when I was 38 weeks pregnant with Danielle. It was about two weeks after we had gotten our first Durango, and McKenna and Ashley will still talk about getting in a car crash with the red Durango. So, when Bev picked her up, she said, "Aunt Bev, that's the 2nd car accident I have been in." She remembers everything! :)

Ashley- Bev was telling me how smashed up the car was. Ashley was pointing to a little dent and saying, "Aunt Bev, look at this little dent!" Um, so cute! Bev was like, yeah, it is little, but the whole front is smashed! hehe. Cute!

Danielle- ......."Hi Huntr!!" hehe

Kids are so cute. Their concept of things, it rocks!

Anyway, and so it begins. The hassle with the insurance companies. Agh! And to top it off, we don't have a car that will fit all six of us. Perfect! So, either we rent one tomorrow on our own bill, or wait until Monday, when their insurance co's adjuster will give us a call. Again....agh!

Visitor Day

Ashley had visitor day at school Friday. She so wanted me to come! I just couldn't get out of work. :( I had gotten in late almost every day this week with various excuses, and I couldn't get it off. We asked if she had wanted Grandma or Papa to take her and she wanted Daddy. :) So, Daddy, Ashley, Danielle, and Thomas went to visitor day and had a lot of fun. It's just a day for Ashley to show her visitor everything she does at school and what fun she has at different stations and where she goes. Super fun! She is a proud student and is getting so smart!!

My little man

Thomas had a Dr. Appt today. He is still our skinny little tall guy.
STATS:
35 inches- 97%
22 lbs 10 oz- 9%
46 cm head- 7%- still little. :)
So, his height is still tall, and he is still super skinny. And just so dang cute!
And poor little guy had double ear infections. :( I honestly thought he was so fussy bc I wouldn't give him his binkie...oops. But other than that, he is super healthy!

Fredette about it!

Well, the whole world had Jimmer mania for a while, so I thought I would join in on the fun. I didn't want to be left out.

Isaac's cousin Logan played on the BYU team and was a senior this year. It has been so much fun to watch the games and see him play. I actually knew all of their names too from watching so much, so it was fun to watch the games at home with Isaac and feel 'involved' sort of in a way. Odd huh, I had nothing to do with the team, but it just made me miss it. They were a great team.

Ethan got to go to the playoff games in Denver with Grandma and Papa. He was even on tv and Isaac and I were so excited to see him on it, and I am not even his mom, I think Roni and Shane were so thrilled. It was a fun week on facebook. ;) Anyway, Isaac took pictures and sent them to everyone, and I even video'd a little piece of him on the news. It was fun. And Logan had a great playoff season!!

Field trip!!

Ashley had a field trip at school. It was to the Park City fire department! Yay! Last year, McKenna couldn't go to her fire department field trip because she was sick, so we were so excited when Ashley's came up. Needless to say, we let McKenna stay home from school so that she could go too. :) And to top it off, Avery, McKenna's best friend didn't go last year either, because she was sick, which I had no idea either. So, her mom let Avery go too with her sister Holland, who is one of Ashley's great friends. :) We took Thomas over to Grandma's and the three girls and I went.
They had so much fun! First we talked with the firefighters, and then we got to walk through their housing quarters. Each had their own room which I was surprised about. Then we got to go see the trucks and walk through the ambulance. And then the kids got to spray the fire hose which was SO exciting! Afterwards we went back to the first room for more Q&A. After being at the fire house and realizing what my kids didn't know, we decided that that night for family home evening, we were talking about fire safety. :) Just simple things:
Stop, Drop, and Roll
911- for emergency
our outside location in case we need to escape the house
feel the door/handle incase there is a fire before you open it
window escapes

Just so many simple things. They sent us home with little coloring books, so they had lots to color and awesome red hats to wear! Yay for field trips. :)

After the field trip, I dropped the kids off at Tanna's so I could go back to work. She kept Thomas for the morning. I just thought this picture was super cute of the girls running with their hats. And then my handsome boy. :)

Snoop dogs!

Angel had her litter. March 16th. I was at work. I so wanted to be there when she had the puppies. I know this probably sounds gross, but it is just so amazing! I wanted to just see maybe one...just to witness an animal birth. I think it's a miracle. But on the flip side, I was so glad I wasn't there. I didn't want to do it alone, and what that was, we had no idea, but none the less, I would've preferred Isaac be there. I asked him to video tape it and he said NO WAY! hehe,
Ok, so here is our conversation.
1:49 pm 5 puppies!
Ok, so I thought they were done. I think we both did. Neither of us had any idea of what actually happened. Two of my friends at work said.. "you just wait, she isn't done yet!" I thought they were crazy, but sure enough...here it goes.
2:32 pm 6 puppies
2:56 pm 7 puppies
4:50 pm 9 puppies!
Crazy right!? Wow! We thought definitely that this was it.

So, I got home from work and the kids were more than excited to show me the puppies!! The house was stinky. Luckily she cleans up everything and we don't have to deal with it, it was just stinky from like... the birth stuff I guess. Even though she cleaned up, it still stunk. Anyway, we walked downstairs and looked at the cute teeny puppies. Isaac counted again, and there were 10!!! 10 puppies! As Ann Jackson (Isaac's cousin) put it on facebook, "Holy Moly!" No kidding. Ahh! I was ok with 5. Semi ok with 6. 7 was really pushing, and 9, oh dear! 10! Wow! Just crazy!

There are 8 black like Samson and 2 sable like Angel. The 2 sable and 4 of the black ones are female, and the rest of the 4 black are males. They're cute. They grow really fast. They're already getting bigger and are starting to get some different color to them. They're pretty cute...but I still can't wait to get rid of them! ;)
The biggest problem has been Angel. She is constantly crapping in our house. Yeah, it's as nasty as it sounds. Agh! Disgusting. I hate it. Isaac read that diahrrea is a side affect of pregnancy, but I still get so mad! He says I wouldn't be able to help it either if I just had 10 puppies, but as you can tell, I'm not that sympathetic. ;) It just seriously infuriates me! Agh! But other than that, she cleans up everything of the puppies. So.. so far, we don't have to do much with them, so it's nice. They're cute.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

McKenna made a trap for the leprechaun for St. Patrick's Day. Daddy helped her. So cute!!

He left the kids some fancy cookies and cute little green froggies from the bath. And even left a trail of money as he tried to run off! Silly leprechaun. Isaac thought that "he" should be the one to clean it up, but Daddy and the kids cleaned it up while Mommy took pictures. :)
